La Blogotheque

If you're stuck on indie music, then you probably worship La Blogotheque. The French site and main man Vincent Moon have revolutionized the idea of the music video, by bringing bands into the streets and out of their comfort zones for stripped down performances, all caught by the La Blogotheque team's talented bunch of sound and camera folk.

One of their recent features is Southern California band Local Natives, who are hot on the heels of their Japan tour, and are currently playing in the travelling St. Jerome's Laneway Festival in Australia.

A bunch of good-looking guys, sleek camera work, amazing music and a stunning view of the streets of Paris; what more could you ask for?

Lanvin F/W 2011/12

Lanvin puts a modern twist on the cowboy look in their latest Fall/Winter collection. Wide-brimmed hats, interesting outerwear and turtlenecks worn under collared shirts all contribute to the 'wild wild west' feel of the collection, and intricate tailoring is perfectly paired with rugged elements like boots and leather gloves for the sexy, dangerous James Bond vibe.

Katy Perry Collection by OPI

Part of every girl's Teenage Dream is to always have a great manicure. Having pretty fingers makes us feel like Fireworks and although we might be stuck at work, one glance at our nails and it's almost like we are California Girls Waking Up in Vegas.

Her five-colour collection is exactly what you'd expect from the vivacious singer, who's known to heat up the red carpet with outrageous outfits covered in anything from sequins to feathers to lace.

Teenage Dream is a bright glittery pink, sure to match your cherry chapstick, Not Like the Movies is an alluring silver, and Last Friday Night is an electric blue with electrifying glitter. There's also The One That Got Away, which is a dark magenta, perfect for those dress-up nights, and Black Shatter, a revolutionary new top coat that creates a cracked pattern resembling a wild leopard print.

Eat Drink Tea(R) bioactive Pu'er essence is the world's most powerful antioxidants infused tea

Given the fast-paced lifestyle that everyone leads in today's society, it is not hard to understand why people neglect the art of tea drinking. Tea packets are often used as a substitute to reduce tea preparation time. But a recent discovery, however, has shown that there is a much better alternative to such tea packets.

Eat Drink Tea® bioactive Pu'er essence contains more flavour than any other normal tea bags and also saves preparation time. The essence contains organic tea leaves from the best tea trees in Yunnan's prehistoric forest. After filtering and purification, these tea leaves are then transformed into Pu'er essence. With both cooked and uncooked versions, Eat Drink Tea® bioactive Pu'er essence can be conveniently consumed with the simple addition of water.

The most unique factor present in this tea, however, is that it contains 63% polyphenols. Unlike most teas which usually contain 8% to 10%, Eat Drink Tea® bioactive Pu'er essence manages to preserve most of these polyphenols during the production process. Being the tea with the highest amount of antioxidants in the current market, research studies done have shown that the polyphenols present in the tea helps to prevent cardiovascular diseases and cancer. In addition, it serves as a healthier alternative to normal tea bags.

While this tea may seem to only attract a younger target market, renowned food critic Chua Lam also sings full praise for Eat Drink Tea® bioactive Pu'er essence. Chua Lam feels that this tea is much more convenient especially when one is travelling without warm water. Since it can be drunk by mixing it with mineral water, Chua Lam also recommends it for the coming Chinese New Year season as a complimentary drink with snacks.

Urban Outfitters

Urban Outfitters seems to be the ultimate hipster clothing store. Shop assistants look like they hang out at Lower East Side hipster haunt Cake Shop 24/7, the shop is subtly decorated with vintage furnishings, and there's always good indie music playing at a UO store, and the website even gives out mp3s for free download on their site.

So, it's no surprise that She & Him lent their little ditty "Why Do You Let Me Stay Here" to UO's Spring 2008 video catalogue.

Check it out below.

Comic Sans Criminal

We've all been there - whether conjuring digital images on Microsoft Paint, writing emails to long-lost friends or grinding out 50-page thesis papers (gasp!) - at one point or another, we've all been guilty of misusing the Comic Sans font.

Hence, some clever fella with Internet access saw opportunity in this global misjudgment epidemic, and created Comic Sans Criminal, a tongue-in-cheek guide to using the correct use of typography, and more specifically, Comic Sans.

It's cleverly designed, colourful and very well typographied (duh!). A short little exercise than is fun for all, even if you're too hooked on the font to change your ways.
